This living room renovation began with a simple goal: to create a calm, cosy space that felt like a true retreat. Comfort was key, especially in the seating, but it also needed to feel warm and welcoming, not clinical or overly formal.

We focused on design that balanced beauty with function. Seating was both supportive and soft, upholstered in durable leather and paired with natural wood finishes. The television was positioned for easy viewing without disrupting the room’s flow.

Bespoke cabinetry around the original fireplace created a focal point, painted in a soft, earthy green inspired by New Zealand’s peaceful landscapes. A tonal colour palette kept the space feeling gentle and inviting.

We finished with a natural wool carpet for warmth and hypoallergenic comfort.

Every choice was made with care, resulting in a space that feels relaxed, grounded and full of heart.
